About the Artists...
The latest family group to hit the scene with incredible vocal harmony is "The Cormiers." Gordon and Loretta (Johnson) Cormier have been performing for audiences for the past two decades. To- gether, they have recorded a total of six albums and have received extensive airplay across North America, Europe and Australia, They have p-.rfonnw at concert halls and community centers from Nain, Labrador to Fort MacPhemon, NWT. On stage, with them you will hear a wide variety of in- struments including bagpipes, accordion, mandolin and guitars.
Loretta's 11 year old daughter, Mallory Johnson, has made quite a name for herself in the St. John's area over the past several years. Since the age of 7, she has been called upon several times a year to perfon-n at St. John's Maple Leaf games and in 1999 she performed at the Air Canada Center and Ma- ple Leaf Gardens in Toronto. In 2000, Mallory performed for the arrival of the Viking ship, Isaindin- gur, at the St. John's waterfront. She was also featured as one of our futures stars at the opening of Mile One Stadium in St. John's in 2001.
This two generation brother-sister-daughter group is ready to make big waves in the music industry with the release of their new CD "The Shamrock, Thistle & Rose".
