About the Artist
"Halifax's favorite bar band... about as reliable as they come!" (Dave Hayden of the Coast Weekly Entertainment Magazine) Signal Hill is an acoustic pop-rock quartet originally from Newfoundland. Now in Halifax, Nova Scotia, they have been on top of the East Coast club scene for nearly ten years. Signal Hill's reputation for delivering high-energy shows has earned them the "Best Band in Halifax" award from The Coast, "for two consecutive years (2000 and 2001) in addition to "Best Cover Band" in Reverb magazine. In 2002, Signal Hill received The Music Industry Award of Nova Scotia award for Best Cover Band. In 2003, Signal Hill received an invitation to perform at the Hard Rock Cafe in Moscow, Russia where they performed in November of that year on a two week tour. With 2004 ahead, Signal Hill has just released their fourth CD titled "Live at the Lower Deck 2." This CD was recorded in the spring of 2003 over three nights at the Lower Deck, a popular Halifax pub. This CD is a compilation of the diverse repertoire Signal Hill has been entertaining their fans with for the past decade. (250+ shows a year).
