This is the sixth volume in the series that we have recorded. Our Songs 6 features some of the songs that are more contemporary “Woman Of Labrador”, “9:13”and Land God Gave To Cain” while still recording the traditional Newfoundland songs of our forefathers. The recording of “The Petit Forte Boys”, which Larry Foley heard from his grandfather, is the first recording of the song that we know of.
The collection gathered together on “Our Songs 6” represents a true cross section of the Newfoundland and Labrador songs that we cherish. These songs are sung by some of the best artists in Newfoundland & Labrador today.
