About the Artists...
Max80 formed in 1992. Since their performances has taken then from Newfoundland to Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island. Max 80 were the opening band for Blue Rodeo, Stampeders at Splash ‘95. In 1996, Max 80 released a Double CD containing six tracks each. They were entitled Electric and Acoustic. Over 400 copies of each were sold in the following year. Max 80 performed in an E.C.M.A Showcase in ‘97, sponsored by the Atlantic Lottery Corporation at Champlain Place in Moncton, NB. Appeared on ASN’s Breakfast Television on three separate occasions. The group performed six original songs, broadcasting throughout Atlantic Canada and around the world Via Satellite. Appeared on NTV news during the band’s performance at the annual George Street Festival in St. John’s, NL(2000). They have performed with April Wine at Merlin’s in St. John’s in 2001 and Junofest 2002, St. John’s, NL where they showcased their original songs from of many other industry professionals from around the globe.
Max80 are currently supporting their new CD “Back to Life” released July 1st, 2003. They firmly believe that given their regional sales potential, breaking into the national market can be achieved with add production and promotion.
