Lloyd Bartlett
Lloyd Bartlett is considered one of the country's most prolific guitarists and has a long history of appearances on radio and television as well as a career playing music in clubs and concert halls all over eastern Canada as well as in Florida. He also teaches guitar in his native city of Corner Brook and is involved in the recording business. He has four recordings under his belt.
Lloyd’s new CD Unjigged: Newfoundland Classics 2, contains 12 Newfoundland classic songs. His previous album containing Newfoundland classics, “Reflections” achieved great acclaim. In it, Lloyd recreated Newfoundland's famous rollicking jigs and reels by unjigging and unreeling them and, as he says, nailing their feet to the floor. That album is an ongoing success and has found it's way all around the world as expatriate Newfoundlanders listen to foggy images of their musical heritage. “Unjigged” is sure to achieve the same great success.
