Gerard Hamilton
Gerard Hamilton, a fisherman from Petty Harbour, NL, has made his living from the sea for iver 25 years. With the ever changing fishery, Gerard has had more time to focus on his music.
Since 1994, Gerard has been a member of “Folk of the Sea”, the NL choir of fisherman and women. As a member of “Folk of the Sea”, Gerard has been able to tour throughout Newfoundland and Labrador and parts of Canada.
“The Sounds of Christmas” is Gerard’s third CD. Filled with loving Christmas songs, there is something for everyone. “The Sounds of Christmas” contains some neatly arranged classics such as Away in a Manger and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer , as well as songs by some for Gerard’s personal favourite Canadian songwriters such as Bruce Guthro, Kevin Evans, John Gracie and David Fitzpatrick. Gerard has also included some original songs including The Sounds of Christmas, Jimgles the Christmas Cat, and All Over the World.
