About the Artist... Dave Gunning is fast creating a buzz in the world of folk singer-songwriters. He has performed in Europe , Canada and the United States , creating a stir, touching hearts, and gaining supporters wherever he plays his songs. In the past two years he has performed at Tonder Festival in Denmark , showcased to an unheard-of standing ovation at the Southwest Regional Folk Alliance in Texas , more than held his own on stage with Kim Mitchell at the 2003 East Coast Music Awards Songwriter’s Circle, performed at the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas, is a two time ECMA nominee and the winner of four MIANS awards.
Dave Gunning is currently touring to promote his brand new studio album entitled “two-bit world”. This album, a brilliant collection of story songs, was released in early summer 2004, was produced by Jamie Robinson. It features such guest performers as Cindy Church, Charlie A’Court, and Gordie Sampson. Summer dates started off in Austin and Kerrville , Texas and had him performing at various festivals in Canada . This fall, he starts off a tour in October with his good friend, Nashville Star runner up and Canadian Country Music Award winner George Canyon . Dave Gunning will also be an official showcase artist at the International Folk Alliance in Montreal in 2005.
