Crush
Nominated for New Group of the Year at the 2003 Juno Awards, Sonic/Warner recording group Crush is composed of singers/songwriters/guitarists Cory Tetford and Paul Lamb.
Cory’s gospel-influenced upbringing has shaped his powerful, pure, soulful voice that spans a wide range of vocal ability. A technically savvy guitarist, Cory is also extremely adept at piano, bass and drums. After ten years as lead vocalist/guitarist in various rock bands, Paul has honed his inimitable, emotional singing voice, accomplished guitar playing and his innate ability to know exactly what the audience wants.
As solo artists, Cory and Paul knew each other from the rich musical pool of Newfoundland musicians. After enjoying several musical encounters together, the two decided to join forces in the spring of 2000. Their vibrant creative energy and musical comradery meshed to form Crush, and they are rising fast on Canada’s musical stage.
