Billy and the Bruisers
Billy and the Bruisers formed in the fall of 1991 ... 5 friends who wanted to get together, maybe once a month, to play music and have some fun. The "once a month" gig quickly turned into once a week, and the band soon became a fixture in the local music scene.
After the release of the first CD, the 5 piece became a full-fledged 10 piece R and B band, with a full time percussion and horn section.
Going strong into its eleventh year, the group has recently said farewell to one of the original members, and welcomed two new ones. The talented members of the band are Billy Sharpe (Drums), John Hutton (Guitar and Vocals), Tony Costello (Keyboards and Vocals), Kelly-Ann Evans (Lead Vocals), Rob Mills (Hammond), John Boulos (Bass and Vocals), Doug Sharpe (Percussion), Craig (Bam) Follett (Sax), Andrew Cooper (Trombone), Jim Prowse (Trumpet), and Shawn Basha (Lead Vocals).
