About the Artist
There is a malarky a-plenty in Irish music and New Brunswick's Banshee can spin a tale with the best of them. Brother and sister, Bryon and Shelley Chase have been performing music together since they could drool and in 2000 they gathered some like-minded hooligans and formed Banshee. In three short years this rollicking gang has traveled extensively, recorded sensitively and performed whole heartedly their inclusive brand of Atlantic Folk Music. Based in Moncton, New Brunswick the group focuses on the meriment that comes from this genre and creates a stage show that can emulate a kitchen party with hundred of your best friends.

This past year they are pleased to announce the release of their new CD "Long Awaited Day" produced by Brian Talbot (Slainte Mhath) with special appearances by Scotty MacFarlane (Crush) and Richard Wood. The CD boasts both original and traditional material for a creative look at "the luck 'o tha' Irish" in New Brunswick. Bryon and Shelley both pen music on this project and recapture some lost favorites in this character recording.
