Dwayne Lewis

Dwayne Lewis is a self taught artist who has grown up in the community of Newstead in central Newfoundland. He has spent the last 11 years living in St.John's where he work's as a mechanical technologist in a local engineering firm. He has recently moved to pouch cove on the north east Avalon. Dwayne has been sketching and drawing all his life, and over the last 10 years has been developing his skills as a portrait artist. The inspiration for his first painting "Avalon Brown'' came from his passion for fly fishing and the angling opportunities here on the east coast of the province. The brown trout depicted in his painting was introduced to the Avalon peninsula in the 1880's and has since then become the pursuit of many anglers. Dwayne wants to share his expierences of the outdoors through his artwork.
