    Bakeapple Recipes

    Bakeapple Cream Puffs
    • ½ cup butter or margarine 4 eggs
    • 1 cup boiling water
    • unsweetened whip cream
    • 1 cup flour
    • 10 oz of Bakeapple Jam
    • ¼ cup sugar
    • ¾ tsp salt
    Grease baking sheet. In sauce pan melt butter in boiling water: add flour and salt at once, stir vigorously. Cook and stir until mixture forms a ball that doesn’t separate. Remove from heat: cool slightly. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition, about 1 to 2 minutes or until smooth. Drop batter by heaping tablespoon 3 inches apart onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 400 F about 30 min. or until golden brown and puffy. Remove from the oven and split, removing any soft dough. Cool on wire rack. Fill with unsweetened whipped cream and Bakeapple Jam.

    Bakeapple Thimble Cookies

    Cream together ½ cup butter and ¼ cup sugar.
    Add 1 well beaten egg yolk and 2 tsp lemon juice.
    Beat well, add 1 cup flour. Combine until well blended
    Shape dough into balls about I inch in diameter.
    Dip ball in one slightly beaten egg white and roll in chopped walnuts.

    Place on greased cookie sheet. Make fairly deep indentation in center of each cookie. Bake for 5 min. and then quickly indent the center a second time. Bake for another 10 – 12 min. and fill cookies with Bakeapple Jam.

    Forever Soft Bakeapple Rolls
    • ¾ cup shortening
    • ¾ cup sour cream or yogurt
    • 1 cup brown sugar
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1 egg
    • 1 cup milk
    • 3 ½ cups flour
    Cream shortening and brown sugar. Add egg and mix well. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt: add to cream mixture, alternating with milk. Roll ½ thick with Bakeapple Jam. Bake at 375 F for 15 minutes.
