Book Description
The story of "Captain Keating of the Cocos Island Treasure" was known throughout the world as "The Lost Treasure of Lima" which was the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island.

Hundreds of adventures from all around the world, including President Fanklin D. Roosevelt, sought Keating's papers before searching for this lost treasure, estimated to be worth three hundred million dollars.

Treasure Island Revisited is the only book devoted entirely to telling the story of Captain John Keating and the Lost Treasure of Lima, and explores its connection to Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel.

Jack Fitzgerald was born and educated in St. John's, Newfoundland. During his career he has been a journalist, a feature writer and a political columnist with the St. John's Daily News, a reporter and public affairs writer with CJON and VOCM news services; editor of the Newfoundland Herald and the Newfoundland Chronicle. During the Smallwood administration he was Assistant Director of Public Relations with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.
