Guidebook and Maps
Edited by Peter Gard and Libby Creelman
Book Description The East Coast Trail, Canada's newest hiking experience, follows North America's easternmost coast for 420 kilometres. Since 1995, the trail has been an ongoing initiative of the East Coast Trail Association, a volunteer run, registered charity. Completed sections range from easy rambles along sheltered shorelines to challenging forays into an unspoiled wilderness of sea-shaped forests, formidable headlands and wide-open Atlantic vistas. Trail attractions include seabirds, whales and other wildlife, icebergs, bustling fishing villages, and historic forts, lighthouses and abondoned settlements spanning 500 years.
