This book is written as a special report to the ruling authorities as a commendation of four people who worked personally for many years with Sir Wilfred T. Grenfell. From all indications, it is thought that, without their unprecedented dedication and voluntary contribution, the International Grenfell Association (IGA) might not have been able to contribute in such an effective way to the area, especially in the medical, social and economic fields.
The four people are: Mr. Thomas Boyd (b.1894), Pastor Stanley Hancock, Sr. (b.1899), Dr. Baxter T. Gillard (b.1901) and Amelia Lucy Wilcox Gillard (b.1909). We hope that these four people will be recognized by the authorities of our great nation, Canada.
