"The Teenage Years ...Mapped" is a collection of poetry by Joshua Jamieson, a talented young poet who is sure to contribute significantly to the future of Canadian Literature. In his poetry the author explores the social and peer pressures faced by teenagers relating to such themes as adolescent sexuality. About the Author
Joshua Jamieson was born in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, on June 11, 1984. He is presently a first year student at Memorial University completing a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in English and Political Science. Since 1999 Joshua has been active with global Vision and Junior Team Canada, a Graduate of the Economic Training Center in 1999, a leader as well as the Atlantic Representative on the Junior Team Canada Trade Mission to Germany and Austria in 2000, and regional Coordinator of the program for 2001 and 2002. Joshua first began writing in high school as a way of coping with the day-to-day stresses of teenage life and soon discovered that it was something that he enjoyed. He is currently working on a second book of poetry as well as his first novel.
