About the Author
Tom Furlong was born in 1911 in St. John's, Newfoundland. His prolific writing career began at an early age, before starting school in 1917. He has worked as a Customs Officer, and later as Executive Director of the Newfoundland Division of the Canadian Mental Health Association, and over the years he has served in various charitable organizations. His quick wit and award winning writing have earned him praise from friends and strangers alike. Tom Furlong's unique brand of humour comes shining through in this collection of light-hearted stories set in Newfoundland.
