The true story of a wartime disaster. The wrecking of the U.S.S. Pollux and U.S.S. Truxtun in the North Atlantic.
In the snowy predawn of February 18, 1942, a convoy of three American ships zigzag up the North Atlantic toward Newfoundland, heading for one of the worst disasters in United States history. Two of the ships, the U.S.S Pollux and the U.S.S Truxtun sank, with a loss of 203 American Sailors. However, many were saved due to the heroic acts of the people of Lawn and St. Lawrence.
