Book Description Greg Tiller was one of 84 men who were lost when the oil rig Ocean Ranger capsized and sank in the North Atlantic on February 15, 1982. Stever Porter was a close friend who knew that Greg had left behind a journal containing poems and other writings. But it wasn't until 2007, following the reunion of the 1977 Class of Mount Pearl Central High, that Steve approached Evelyn Tiller and inquired about publishing her son's journal. After receiving her permission and blessing, Steve began compiling this wonderful book which combines Greg's poems and writings with memories and recollections of family and friends. Steve has dedicated this book to Evelyn Tiller and it is a lasting legacy to Greg. Among others, the book features Greg's poem RIG which is an eerie foretelling of what happened to the Ocean Ranger on that stormy, tragic night in February of 1982. | |
