Book Description
Since the release of The People's Road in 1995, Wade Kearley has worked to help preserve and protect the integrity of the former railbed, and a provincial park known as the Newfoundland T'Railway. He served ten years as a volunteer on the Newfoundland T'Railway Council, including two terms as president. And as he speaks out on the importance of protecting this historic "long thin community" whenever he has the opportunity. The People's Road Revisited is another step along that path to retaining an important part of Newfoundland and Labraodor's heritage.

In recognition of the upcoming 20th anninversary of the closure of the Railway in Newfoundland The People's Road Revisited by Wade Kearley is a commenorative book based on the the best-selling The People's Road. The book recounts the story of the author's journey on foot along the abandoned 547 mile railbed from Port aux Basques to St. John's, the people he met, and the lessons he learned - the hard way. Each section includes a new introduction and features a map, an update on trail conditions, and current interviews with some of the people he first featured in 1995.
