Book Description
The Migration of Butterflies is Carol Malyon's most accomplished novel to date: the story of three women who meet by accident and whose lives are changed forever as a result. Nancy is nineteen, pregnant, kicked out by her parents. Sarah, middle-aged, has just thrown over her partner and her job, and is trying to sort out what to do with the rest of her life. Fern is old, feisty but tired, bossed around by her children, absorbed by the past as she faces the end of her life. Each woman is, in her own way, at a crossroad. They are tough, though, picking themselves up and carrying on.

About the Author:
In 1980s Malyon owned the Beaches Book Shop in Toronto. She currently lives and writes in Toronto, with occasional peregrinations to Vancouver, and to the Maritimes, where she was writer-in-residence at the University of New Brunswick in 1997.
