Book Description
"This is in large part our own story, in our own words, mostly published over the years in Them Days magazine. The author's historical and geographical introductions are comprehensive, well-researched, sensitive and beautifully written. She has captured the Labrador landscape and its effect on the people who live here as only someone can who truly loves a place."
Doris Saunders, Them Days
About the Author
Born in 1942, Lynne Fitzhugh grew up in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains just north of New York City at a time when they were still wild enough to enchant an adventurous tomboy. Her addiction to wilderness and her seemingly innate northward inclination converged when she visited Labrador with archaeologist husband Bill in 1969.
