Book Description I can`t remember when I first heard Jessie Mifflin`s name but I first heard her voice on the CBC Radio program Sunday Miscellany in the early 1960`s. Her commentaries were lively, engaging and often very funny. Among other things she talked about her schooldays in Bonavista, her travels to establish libraries in remote Newfoundland communities and her childhood yen for Banner caramels. later I would read her stories in the Newfoundland Quarterly and especially in her new books. It was great to discover that her three delightful collections, including "Be You a Library Missionary, Miss?" have been combined in this larger volume.
