This 64-page fantasy novel will excite the
imaginations of children ages 8-12.
The dragon world is being destroyed. The dragons
think the Earth is the cause. Not only that, they
believe Jonathan is the only one who can save them.
Jonathan is carried on the back of Eirik, the dragon,
to the Land of the Four Mountains, the dragon
universe. Jonathan visits the Lake of the Shining
Crystals, the Tunnel of the Talking Walls and even
meets the terrible Ozon, the Bird of Wrath, who is
slowly eating the dragon kingdom. Jonathan has to
do something fast! But what is a young boy to do?
About the Author
Gordon A. Francis was born in Corner Brook,
Newfoundland, where he attended Herdman
Collegiate High. He graduated from Memorial
University of Newfoundland with his B.A. and
B.Ed. Since then he has taught English and Art in
Elementary and High schools. Presently, he is
teaching English and Art at Ascension Collegiate,
Bay Roberts.
He is co-author of Process and Purpose, the
Language 3101 text used in Newfoundland and
Labrador High schools. He has articles in the
Encyclopedia of Newfoundland and Labrador,
poetry and artwork in Chaulkdust and Chewing and
a story in Life Sentences, published by the
Newfoundland Writers' Guild (1993).
