Book Description Happiness of Fish by Fred Armstrong On a snowy winter night, Gerry Adamson hides from his family in a laid-up sailboat. Pushing sixty, holed-up with a laptop, he’s trying to make a novel out of thirty-odd years of compromises and betrayals that have seen him go from youthful erratic passion to late-middle-aged dithering. He’s making one last effort to make it mean something. About the Author Fred Armstrong is a resident of St. John’s for 35 years, Fred Armstrong was born and raised in Ottawa. He has been a free-lance journalist for print, radio, and television for more than 30 years and now works part-time as a desk editor for CBC and writes the feature Curmudgeon’s Diary for The Morning Show. He was a recipient of one of the first Writer’s Association of Newfoundland and Labrador mentorships in 2004. Armstrong lives in St. John’s with his wife Elizabeth. Happiness of Fish is his first novel. | |
