Book Description
In commemoration of 60 years of the Club's existence, this book is intended to be a revised edition of the Fortieth Anniversary commemorative book published in 1982 and is dedicated to the memory of those who have served and who have assured the success of this historical institution. Most of the original articles are reprinted along with collected memories from other members and visitors during the war years and afterwards. The book is a testament to all those who have cherished this Club and through the collection of memories, stories and photographs, we honour those who have made our Club a very special place.
Although sadly many of the original members are no longer with us, instances are becoming more frequent when relatives of those same members visit or contact the Club in a way that clearly demonstrates a continuum of emotional attachment. No doubt, this book will be deservedly sought by them and all those who hold the Club in their hearts. The Crow's Nest is more than a club. It is an historical treasure deserving perpetuity and special care. This book will help make it so.
