In this book, the author tells true stories, most of which he personally saw happen, about what life was like in Labrador when he was a teenager. He also tells how at seventy-four, he went back by airplane and snowmobile to take one more look at a large beaver lodge and a great winding river, both of which hold significant memories for a retired wilderness trapper. "Throughout this book," he writes, "I try to express the thought that if we are to have a hope for tomorrow, we must do things today that are positive." |
