Violet Squires Ruelokke is registered nurse and has extensive experience provincially, nationally and internationally. She has been the recipient of many awards including the Queen Elizabeth Jubilee Medal and is an Honourary Member of the Association of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Her interest in writing began during a long bout with tuberculosis while a teenager. Since that time she has been a committed journal keeper. This book is a result of such recording.
