The book "Raging Winds...Roaring Sea" published by
Creative Publishers, St. John's, contains twenty-seven new
stories of ships and disasters from all parts of Newfoundland.
It has 200 pages, over 40 images/photos and is fully indexed.

while the "Town" index lists over one hundred communities.
The back cover certainly sets the stage for "Raging
Winds...Roaring Sea" and poses the question, "Did this
really happen in Newfoundland?" "Raging Winds..." is about
people and the sea -- little-known tales that occurred on
every coastline. This collection goes beyond the marine
misadventures to feature our descendants and pioneers who
have gone before us, many of whom paid the ultimate sacrifce
on the sea. Many stories have a follow-up of people and
family left behind to cope after certain shipping disasters.
